Ada ICU - Patient Care Associate-PCA - Full Time/Nights

Works cooperatively with others as part of a team; recognizes the importance of group goals. Performs designated clinical procedures and nonclinical support tasks essential to providing care to the patient. Position Details: Mercy Hospital Ada PCA, ICU, Full Time - Three 12-hour shifts per week Night Shift. Responsibilities Assist in individualized patient care under RN or LPN direction. Work cooperatively as part of a team and recognize the importance of group goals. Perform designated clinical procedures and nonclinical support tasks essential to patient care. Qualifications Education: High school diploma, G.E.D., CNA/CPTC, or enrolled in a healthcare career program through high school curriculum, or current co‑worker of Mercy. Experience: None required. Certifications: BLS required within one month of hire; completion of PCA competencies within 3 months of hire. Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. regularly; prolonged standing and walking during each shift; ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties. Preferred Qualifications Experience: EMT, Paramedic, or previous patient care experience. Certification(s): Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Patient Care Tech (CPCT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced Unlicensed Assistant (AUA) in the state of practice.
