About the Role

The Company is in search of an Associate Vice President to play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and providing operational oversight of central fundraising and engagement efforts. The successful candidate will lead key areas such as corporate and foundation partnerships, annual and planned giving, alumni relations, sponsorships, and signature events, all with a focus on strengthening the philanthropic pipeline and advancing institutional priorities. This leadership position requires the alignment of development and engagement strategies, setting of goals and performance metrics, and ensuring effective execution through data-driven decision-making and industry best practices. The AVP will also be responsible for maintaining a portfolio of major gift prospects, supervising and developing a team of professionals, and fostering a culture of philanthropy across the institution. The ideal candidate for this role at the company is an experienced fundraising leader with a strong background in major and planned giving, corporate partnerships, and alumni engagement. A bachelor's degree is required, with a master's degree or higher preferred, and a minimum of 8 years' experience in advancement. The role demands a strategic, results-driven professional with a proven ability to cultivate donor relationships, lead high-performing teams, and execute effective fundraising initiatives. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills are essential, as is proficiency in donor systems. The candidate should demonstrate integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while building strong relationships across stakeholders.
