Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist (MD/DO) – Hybrid | Flexible Schedule | Outpatient

Job Type: Part-Time (0.5–0.8 FTE)

Compensation: $185–220/hour DOE

Schedule: Flexible 20–30 hours/week

Western Youth Services (WYS) is seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our outpatient mental health team serving children, adolescents, and families throughout Orange County.

Position Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for children and adolescents
• Provide medication management and ongoing psychiatric treatment
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as clinically appropriate
• Collaborate with therapists, care coordinators, case managers, and clinical staff
• Maintain timely and compliant clinical documentation within the electronic health record
• Participate in case consultation and interdisciplinary treatment planning
• Provide education and support to families and caregivers
• Optional consultation and collaborative oversight support for PMHNP staff based on experience and interest

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program
• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Psychiatry
• Child & Adolescent Psychiatry experience strongly preferred
• Active and unrestricted California medical license
• Experience treating children and adolescents preferred
• Strong communication and collaborative care skills
• Experience with outpatient psychiatry and community‑based mental health settings preferred
