Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant
Location: Lakewood, Ohio - Hybrid
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday
Salary: $110,000-$130,000

We are seeking an analytical and technically strong Senior Staff Accountant to play a key role in general accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities (Senior Staff Accountant):

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules as part of the month-end close process
• Analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances, discrepancies, and unusual transactions
• Prepare financial statements, management reporting, and ad hoc financial analyses
• Support AP, AR, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other general ledger activities
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve efficiency
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and requested documentation

Qualifications (Senior Staff Accountant):

• 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, data manipulation, and financial modeling
• Self-starter who takes ownership and can work effectively with limited direction
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Comfortable working through ambiguity, researching issues, and developing solutions or processes when one does not already exist
