Live-In Caregiver

THIS POSTING IS FOR 2 SHIFTS PER WEEK WITH A NAPLES, LONG BEACH CLIENT: TUES 11AM-3PM + SAT 4-8PM IMMEDIATE SHIFTS AVAILABLE! Please apply only if you are current on the HCA Registry and have a TB test within the past 90 days. We will respond to job applications which include HCA PER ID number and date of TB test. Paid sick leave provided in accordance with California state and local laws 401(k) with employer match Tuition reimbursement Responsibilities of a Caregiver / Home Care Aide include: Assist client with activities of daily living, including standby assist and meal preparation. Provide joyful companionship and emotional support to client. Help with small, home-based projects (e.g. gardening, organizing) Monitor and report clients’ daily activities and changes in client's health or behavior. Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for client. Qualifications of a Caregiver: Previous caregiving experience (professional or personal), providing assistance with personal care, companionship, and activities of daily living. Compassionate, patient, and dependable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow care plans and instructions. Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy. Requirements: Ability to perform essential job duties, which may include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs, and assisting clients with mobility. Able to speak, read, and write English and communicate effectively with the office team members. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be current on the California Home Care Aide Registry. Reliable transportation. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Tuberculosis (TB) test required prior to working with clients (within previous 90 days or within 7 days of hiring or within 2 years is coming from another home care agency).
