Occupational Therapist

Word Therapy, LLC is looking for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide occupational therapy services in Sarasota County Schools. This is an exciting opportunity for an OT who enjoys working with children and wants the flexibility and independence of a 1099 contractor position, while being supported by an established pediatric therapy company. Grow With Us – Join a growing local therapy company with opportunities for continued professional growth. What You'll Do: Provide occupational therapy services to students in assigned schools. Evaluate students' functional, developmental, sensory, fine motor, and other occupational therapy needs. Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment strategies. Address areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor skills, self-care, and functional participation . Monitor student progress and maintain accurate and timely documentation. Collaborate with teachers, school personnel, families, SLPs, and other professionals. Participate in IEP meetings and school-based team meetings as required. Provide education and recommendations to support students across the school environment. What We're Looking For: Master's or entry-level doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy. Current Florida Occupational Therapist license. Pediatric and/or school-based experience preferred. Knowledge of sensory processing, fine motor development, and developmental needs. Strong communication and organizational skills. Reliable, professional, and compassionate. Enjoys working with children and collaborating with school teams. Why Word Therapy?
