HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

All LCSNW team members will contribute to our mission of partnering with individuals, families and communities for health, justice and hope. We are a community focused nonprofit known for supporting youth and families with compassion, cultural humility, and a strong team-based approach. As a Behavioral Interventionist you will be part of the WISe team providing skill building, coaching and support directly in the home and community, working side by side with families and their natural support. You will build meaningful relationships and help strengthen stability and confidence for youth who are navigating difficult seasons. This role is a great fit for someone who wants their work to have purpose, to feel the impact of what they do, and to grow within a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • Maintain a caseload of youth and families enrolled in WISe and provide ongoing engagement, support and follow-up based on each family's goals, strengths and needs.
  • Support youth and families during crisis situations by utilizing the individualized support plan, collaborating with the team, and reinforcing coping and problem-solving strategies.
  • Attend and participate in Child and Family Team meetings whenever possible or provide timely and meaningful updates to the Care Coordinator when unable to attend.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate group activities that build skills, support connections, and promote positive relationships within the family and broader support network.
  • Provide services in community-based settings which may include the family home, schools, JJC, and other agreed upon safe locations, including transporting youth and families as needed to support engagement.
  • Participate in the WISe on call rotation to provide after hours support when a youth or family is experiencing a crisis or needs assistance outside of regular business hours.
  • Complete all progress notes, documentation and required record keeping within established timelines and maintain professional standards that reflect quality and consistency of care.
  • Partner with youth and caregivers to assess strengths, needs and interests and provide culturally responsive, trauma informed and skill-based interventions that support safety, stability and progress toward identified goals.
HOW YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT:
  • (1) years of related experience in the areas of human behavior and mental health; awareness of individual differences in ability, personality, and interest.
  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Counselor Agency Affiliated Registration is required within (60) days of hire.
  • Basic mastery of business applications and productivity suites
  • Demonstrates resilience, awareness and self-regulation in navigating challenges, conflict and obstacles/barriers.
  • Thrives in a diverse and multicultural environment; works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance end-user experiences throughout the service lifecycle
  • Demonstrates exceptional commitment to serving and advocating for diverse and marginalized populations
  • Successfully completes tasks in a moderately noisy environment
  • Interacts with others and performs tasks in-person and through the use of technology, with moderate periods of stationary activity and minimal periods of increased physical activity including and not limited to such as walking in the community, sitting on the floor during sessions, and engaging in movement-based skill building activities with youth.
  • Moves equipment/materials weighing up to (20) pounds
  • Travels between worksites frequently; Must possess a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and a clear motor vehicle record (MVR). Reliable transportation is required, and the position may require travel between facilities using either a personal or agency vehicle for work-related duties within Benton and Franklin County
  • Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings, outdoor settings in varying weather conditions, and faith-based settings such as churches
  • Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job-relevant clearances as required by the State or program
