Compensation

Base Salary: $40,000-$50,000/year (DOE)
Commission Opportunities: Potential to earn an additional $30,000+ annually based on sales performance.
First-Year Income Potential: $80,000+ for driven, high-performing individuals.

Overview

A+ Auto Service is seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused Service Consultant to join our team. This is a key role within our organization, responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience, coordinating daily workflow, and helping ensure the shop operates efficiently from start to finish.

The ideal candidate is a confident decision-maker who can balance customer service, sales, organization, and team coordination while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who naturally takes ownership, stays organized, solves problems, and helps drive results.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the repair process.
• Communicate effectively with technicians and customers to ensure transparency and clarity from vehicle check-in through delivery.
• Manage daily workflow, vehicle scheduling, repair timelines, and customer expectations.
• Present estimates, explain repair recommendations, and help customers make informed decisions regarding vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Monitor vehicle progress and proactively address issues that could impact customer satisfaction or shop productivity.
• Maintain consistent customer communication with updates, approvals, and follow-up calls.
• Assist in maintaining operational consistency and adherence to company processes and standards.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales, productivity, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Maintain a professional, organized, and customer-friendly front office environment.
• Build long-term customer relationships that create trust, loyalty, and repeat business.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• Proven experience in automotive service advising, automotive sales, customer service leadership, or a similar role requiring independent decision-making and customer relationship management.
• Strong ability to organize priorities, manage multiple tasks, and keep operations moving smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and foster strong relationships with customers and team members.
• Demonstrated experience handling difficult customer situations and resolving concerns professionally.
• Ability to think strategically, identify solutions, and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
• Experience coordinating workflow, managing priorities, and helping teams achieve goals is strongly preferred.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and personal responsibility.
• Automotive industry experience is preferred but not required for candidates with a strong history of customer service, sales, or operational leadership.
