Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing a combination of standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that target both immediate and overarching communication or swallowing goals.
• Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team comprising physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop harmonized care strategies.
• Provide essential education and resources to patients and families to bolster their progress during non-clinical hours.
• Assist in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout the treatment process.
• Keep comprehensive and prompt documentation that adheres to regulatory standards set by local, state, and national guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and peer interactions to remain at the forefront of industry advancements.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is necessary if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• Possession of state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• The Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of commencing employment.
