About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: BLS ACLS PALS TNCC Must-Have: Compassion Empathy Description: The Emergency Department consists of 30 physical beds and 8 hall beds. There are 77 staff members working in the department. Day shift staffing includes a Charge Nurse, 7 RNs and a Paramedic or LVN during peak hours. Night shift staffing includes a Charge Nurse and 8 RNs. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4. The department is equipped with Baxter IV pumps, GE monitors, ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, Belmont rapid infusers, a portable EKG machine, and utilizes EMR systems. Typical procedures performed in the unit include NIH stroke assessments, IV/blood draws, moderate sedation, TNK administration, and cardiac monitoring. Candidates must be team players. Every other weekend commitment is typically required. Preferred certifications include TNCC.
