GENERAL SUMMARY
The Director of Quality - Manufacturing reports to the VP of Manufacturing and is responsible for oversight of Quality systems and operations. Responsibilities include development and improvement of the NASG Quality Management System, development of systems to ensure customer and NASG requirements are met during and after product launch and supporting plant quality and manufacturing teams to resolve concerns.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Development and ongoing improvement of NASG Quality Management System Manage process to evaluate current state and develop plan to support department training and development of New Launch Quality teams in problem solving, improvement tools and communication methods Serve as customer contact for Production quality, and represent NASG as required to resolve issues Assist and support manufacturing plant quality teams with investigation and resolution of internal and external quality problems Monitor / report / improve all NASG quality performance metrics Participate in and support Feasibility reviews Participate in and support Kick-Off meetings Indirect management of manufacturing plant quality teams Monitor APQP process (ShopEdge) and ensure completion of APQP tasks Support Internal / External / Customer audits as required Establish and execute NASG Quality strategy plan for year over year continuous improvement for key department metrics Continually evaluate department processes for adherence while identifying and executing improvement to process design to improve department efficiency and effectiveness In addition to performing primary duties, the individual shall provide support where deemed necessary by ManagementMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor degree in metrology, industrial, mechanical, electrical or electronics engineering Experience: 10 years manufacturing experience 5 years supervision / management 5 years in automotive manufacturing 5 – 10 years cumulative in Quality functions Personal/Technical Skills: Master level understanding of Control Plans, FMEA's, Flow Diagrams and In-Process Inspection Master level knowledge of GD&T, SPC, Gage R&R, and gage use APQP, PPAP, MSA, Core Tools Detail oriented and able to work with minimal supervision Strong leadership abilities Demonstrate and model Hands‑on, involved, Go‑See approach Highly organized Strong Interpersonal communication skills Will have the ability to work schedule that allows completion of the job on a daily basis Language Skills: Able to clearly communicate in verbal or written forms and act as a liaison between Production and Quality Ability to speak and write in the primary language of the NASG facility of employment Computer/Software: Computer (PC) and Microsoft Office ShopEdge QCBD Minitab Customer Portals Training: Automotive Core Tools Fundamentals of IATF 16949 Other Baseline items North American Stamping Group is a drug‑free and smoke‑free workplace. #J-18808-Ljbffr North-American-Stamping-GroupVacancy posted 1 day ago
