Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview The Store Manager Candidate supports the Store Manager in implementing store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, customer service, and store safety. This role serves as a developmental position for candidates aspiring to become Store Managers. Key Responsibilities Assist in recruiting, staffing, and training employees. Participate in merchandise presentation, stocking, and storage according to company standards. Manage inventory processes, including damages, markdowns, and stock accuracy. Ensure product availability by following proper ordering practices. Lead customer service efforts and act as a role model for store policies and procedures. Support store opening and closing activities, cash handling, and financial integrity. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment for customers and staff. Operate store independently in the absence of the Store Manager. Analyze sales, labor, and inventory data to identify trends and control expenses. Complete all required documentation accurately and timely. Qualifications & Skills Ability to interpret operational documents and perform mathematical calculations. Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices. Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Problem-solving skills with ability to handle diverse situations. Preferred bilingual skills (Spanish). High school diploma or equivalent; retail experience preferred. Physical & Working Conditions Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds.
