Barista/ Front of House Team Member

Job Description

Join Angelina Bakery’s Front of House team at our new Princeton location. Born in New York City, Angelina Bakery is an Italian bakery and café known for pastries, specialty coffee, sandwiches, and a welcoming customer experience. We welcome both experienced hospitality professionals and enthusiastic entry-level team members who want to learn, grow, and contribute in a fast-paced café environment. Team members will work in dedicated barista and cashier roles, cross-trained as an all-purpose team, with shift-based station assignments. Daily operations are supported by the Store Manager and Café Manager, with opportunities to advance into Floor Supervisor, operations leadership, and multi-location growth roles.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers and provide exceptional service.
Take orders accurately and support online ordering.
Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, pastries, and food items.
Operate Toast POS and process transactions accurately.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment.
Restock products and supplies using inventory procedures.
Follow company procedures and food safety standards.
Collaborate with kitchen and management teams.
Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Support smooth operations during morning coffee rushes, afternoon service, weekend brunch, and holiday periods.
Learn and use espresso equipment, the online ordering system, inventory platform, and Toast POS.

Required Qualifications

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively.
Ability to work in a fast-paced café environment.
Accurate order-taking and cash-handling skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Entry-level experience in café or hospitality operations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous restaurant, café, bakery, hospitality, or customer service experience.
Barista experience, espresso preparation, or coffee brewing skills.
Experience with point-of-sale systems, preferably Toast POS.
Food Handler certification and knowledge of food safety.
Weekend and holiday availability.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
