The TMMC Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) performs a variety of clerical, administrative, and medical duties that support the daily operations of the clinic. As the first point of contact for team members, patients and visitors, the CMA is the positive and professional representation of the clinic. The CMA discreetly handles large amounts of sensitive and confidential information concerning team members' personal health issues. They contribute to the healthcare of patients by assisting with exams and procedures, organizing and managing patient flow, and taking on other responsibilities based on the needs of the department.

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Licensure/Certification: BLS Certification or Registration from one of the following organizations:

• American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA-Certified Medical Assistant)
• American Medical Technologist (RMA-Registered Medical Assistant)
• National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA-Nationally Certified Medical Assistant)
• National Health career Association (CCMA-Certified Clinical Medical Assistant)
• National Association for Health Professionals (NRCMA-Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant)

Minimum experience required: Two years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic setting. Knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures. Specific training/experience may be required relevant to the specialty of the area.

Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant II

Minimum Education Level: High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Education Level: Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program or Applicable Military Medical Training.

Licensure Certification Needed: Yes

Minimum Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS)

Other: Certification or Registration from one of the following organizations: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA-Certified Medical Assistant) American Medical Technologist (RMA-Registered Medical Assistant) National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA-Nationally Certified Medical Assistant) National Health career Association (CCMA-Certified Clinical Medical Assistant) National Association for Health Professionals (NRCMA-Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant)

Salary Range: $21.65 - $33.05

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
