Associate General Counsel (Houston)

We are working with a leading US solar module manufacturer experiencing major growth in the US and is tripling their manufacturing capacity to 6 GW. They are dedicated to driving sustainable innovation and providing clean, reliable, and cost-effective solar energy solutions to customers worldwide.

The Associate General Counsel will play a key role in supporting executive leadership and commercial operations across a broad range of legal matters. This position will focus heavily on commercial transactions, contract negotiation, and risk management while serving as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a practical, business-oriented attorney capable of managing complex agreements and providing strategic legal guidance in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

• Draft, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Provide legal guidance on contracts, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Support commercial and project teams on contract interpretation and enforcement.
• Manage contractual communications, disputes, claims, and litigation matters.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and ensure legal compliance across business operations.
• Maintain contract administration, corporate records, and governance documentation.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school and an active license to practice law in the US.
• 4-6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment handling transactional legal matters, including commercial contracts and sales-of-goods transactions.
• Strong understanding of contract law, commercial negotiations, and risk management principles.
• Experience supporting business operations across multiple functional areas.

Salary Range

$160-170K plus bonus opportunity
