Travel Physical Therapist - Rehab

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 12-week travel assignment in an acute care and inpatient rehab setting in Independence, MO.

Job Details

• 285-bed acute care hospital with a 16-bed inpatient rehab unit,
• Physical Therapy department covering both acute care and inpatient rehab,
• Patient ratios: 12:1 in acute care, 4-5:1 in inpatient rehab,
• Rehab tech support available on unit,
• Safe patient handling equipment and standard rehab equipment provided,
• Meditech used for documentation,
• Schedule: 5 eight-hour days, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, with 1 weekend every 6 weeks,
• Flex days off available when working a weekend,
• No on-call requirements,
• May be required to float between acute care and rehab,

Job Requirements

• Active PT license required (Missouri license required if applicable),
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist,
• Must have active practice within the last 6 months in the PT role,
• Acute care and/or inpatient rehab experience required,
• Experience with Meditech preferred,
• Two professional references required for Missouri placements,
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration,
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include patient evaluations and treatments across acute care and inpatient rehab settings,
• Eggplant-colored scrubs are required,
• Department recognizes staff through an Employee of the Month program and a hospital-wide Sunflower Award,
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible,
• This is a 12-week travel contract
