Residential Mid to High Insurance Inspector

Signature Companies is hiring independent contractors as Residential Insurance Inspectors. As a 1099 contractor, you will travel to client locations, conduct inspections, take photographs, record measurements, and produce detailed reports that are reviewed before submission to underwriters. Work is paid per completed report, with invoices processed monthly through our cloud‑based system. You set your own schedule while meeting a 21‑day turnaround for each inspection. Responsibilities Schedule appointments with homeowners and conduct on‑site surveys. Take photographs and perform detailed measurements of the property. Document construction details, unique architectural features, and ownership risks. Identify underwriting concerns and outline recommendations to prevent future losses. Compile a written replacement‑cost estimate and full inspection report from your home office. Submit reports online and ensure quality checks are met before forwarding to underwriting staff. Requirements At least two years of comparable experience (e.g., home inspector, loss control, or underwriting). Reliable transportation and a high‑speed internet connection. Digital camera, measuring wheel or equivalent tool, and Microsoft Windows PC. Proficiency with inventory and reporting software. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Preferred: prior underwriting or residential inspection experience, construction background, loss‑control experience, BA/BS degree. Preferred certifications include CPCU or IIA.
