About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIH preferred Must-Have: - Experience in a telemetry unit managing adult and geriatric patients - Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac drips with no titration - Proficiency in using electronic charting systems Description: The registered nurse will work within a telemetry unit. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Common diagnoses include congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypertension, sepsis, and vascular issues. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients, managing care, and administering medications. Ratio of patients to nurses is typically 4 to 5. Flexibility to float within the facility is required as needed. The nurse is expected to work every other weekend unless specified otherwise. Holidays will be assigned based on the contract period, with specific expectations for major holidays. Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on schedule. The candidate's clinical fit will be assessed to ensure alignment with unit standards and patient care expectations. This position requires specific skills such as IV management, blood product administration, and monitoring of telemetry patients. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in managing various medications and treatments as outlined in job specifications. All candidates must meet compliance requirements prior to the start of employment.
