Dietary Aide

Dietary Aide -- $18 an hour with weekly pay!

Job Summary:

Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich is seeking full-time and part-time Dietary Aides to join our team! As a Dining Services Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and services to our residents. We offer competitive hourly wages, weekly pay, and a supportive work environment.

40 hours available on 6:30a-2:30p shift and per diem available on 3p-8p shift.

Responsibilities:

• Follow therapeutic diet cards as ordered by the physician

• Ensure proper serving temperature of food and beverages

• Deliver meals on a timely basis

• Maintain visual appeal of food and emphasize the use of garnishes

• Adhere to daily nourishment lists and stock nourishment stations

• Assist the cook in monitoring meal serving times

• Adhere to sanitation and storage policies and procedures

• Perform other duties assigned by the dining director

Requirements:

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Must be able to follow oral and written communication

• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of dining service areas

• Must perform regular inspections of dietary services areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties

• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning

• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing dietary practices

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
