Commercial Drywall & Framing MechanicLocation: Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC, and surrounding areasPay: $25.00-$30.00 per hourBenefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with company match; and one week of vacation and sick time.RQ Construction is building a pool of qualified Commercial Drywall and Framing Mechanics for anticipated project needs at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC, and nearby locations. This ongoing recruitment effort seeks experienced tradespeople for future assignments as project needs arise. All work will be performed on the military installation and paid in accordance with the applicable Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements.In this hands-on role, you will perform carpentry, metal stud framing, drywall installation, and related construction tasks using a variety of hand and power tools. Successful candidates will demonstrate quality workmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and productive jobsite.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required.Five or more years of carpentry experience, including rough and/or finish carpentry.At least two years of commercial construction field or trade experience, or equivalent relevant experience.Experience with steel stud framing and metal frame installation required.Acoustical ceiling tile (ACT) experience preferred.CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.Preferred training or certifications include forklift/manlift operation, trenching and shoring, fall protection, confined space, Lockout/Tagout, scissor lift/boom lift operation, EM 385-1-1 40-hour, and OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour.RQ Construction is a full-service Design-Build contractor specializing in fast-track commercial construction for public- and private-sector clients, with a primary focus on Department of Defense projects.
