2nd shift Admin/Inventory Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to enhance inventory accuracy and customer operations through data entry, order processing, and inventory tracking in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain inventory and order information in company systems.
• Process shipments, receipts, and sales orders.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
• Review shipping and receiving records for accuracy.
• Coordinate with suppliers and customers regarding order status.
• Support EDI transactions and documentation verification.
• Provide customer service and resolve order-related issues.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in inventory control and management.
• Experience in shipping and receiving operations.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Excellent data entry capabilities.
• Knowledge of warehouse inventory and supply chain processes.
• Understanding of production environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of administrative, inventory, logistics, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong data entry and computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.

Work Environment

This role is based in an office within a manufacturing environment. Initial training will occur on the first shift from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm or 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for 3-4 weeks, after which the position will transition to the second shift from 5:30 pm to 2:15 am. Flexibility to work two Saturdays a month is required, with paid overtime available. Training is provided at a competitive hourly rate, with an increase upon completion. The position includes cross-training on Material Control Operations data entry.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Georgetown, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.25/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
