Overview The Roadside Technician position is an emergency response tire technician for semi-truck fleets. When a customer has a tire related failure, a Technician is dispatched to the customer's location to repair or change the tire. This means that a Technician is expected to be roadside when performing their job duties. During times when there are no service calls pending, Technicians will be expected to help mount orders, clean and organize the shop, and other general duties as needed. Responsibilities Respond to tire-related failures for semi-truck fleets and perform tire repairs or changes at the customer site. Operate as a roadside technician during service calls and be available for after-hours emergencies as required. Assist with mounting orders, shop organization, and other general duties when no service calls are pending. Shift and On-Call Information There is a mandatory on-call rotation. Technicians are expected to run after-hours service calls with a 95% acceptance rate, including weekends and nights. After-hours pay includes double-time compensation, with a minimum of 2 hours per call; example: if a technician accepts, arrives, and completes a 45-minute call, they receive an additional 1 hour 15 minutes of double-time pay. Compensation and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. Base pay may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. Basic Requirements Valid driver's license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements. Must be at least 21 years of age. Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous Commercial Service Tire experience preferred. About the Role: What skills will you learn? Servicing Commercial Tires including dismounting, mounting, and repairing tires. Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout as necessary. Inflate tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements. Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including wearing proper PPE, using tire cages, and following all safety policies and procedures.
