## Ultrasound TechnologistApplylocations: US NJ Princeton (Stanhope St): US NJ Lawrenceville-Princess Rdtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted 7 Days Agojob requisition id: R3018### **Essential Job Functions*** Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations as ordered by a physician and according to established protocols.* Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the exam, answering questions, and minimizing anxiety.* Obtain relevant patient history and clinical information prior to imaging.* Verify patient identity and ensure accurate entry of patient demographics in the imaging system.* Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively to obtain diagnostic-quality images.* Ensure images are complete, properly labeled, and available for provider interpretation.* Assist radiologists or providers during ultrasound-guided procedures when required.* Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.* Follow infection control practices and maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and equipment.* Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations; maintain awareness of emergency equipment locations.* Perform basic equipment checks and report equipment issues or malfunctions per department procedures.* Restock supplies in assigned areas as needed.* Communicate professionally and effectively with patients, providers, and other healthcare team members.* Complete exams within expected time frames while maintaining quality and patient safety.* Comply with all organizational, departmental, and regulatory requirements.### **General Responsibilities*** Adhere to established ultrasound protocols, safety standards, and quality guidelines.* Maintain required certifications, credentials, and continuing education.* Participate in orientation, training, and competency assessments as required.* Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.### **Physical Requirements*** Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.* Ability to bend, reach, lift, and assist with patient positioning.* Manual dexterity to operate imaging equipment.* Visual and auditory acuity to safely perform examinations and communicate effectively.### **Education, Certification & Experience*** Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography or ultrasound program required.* Associate’s degree preferred.* Entry-level candidates and recent graduates encouraged to apply.* Clinical experience obtained through an accredited training or internship program required.* Current certification or registry-eligible status required: + ARDMS or ARRT (Sonography)* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.* State licensure or registration required where applicable.### **Skills & Competencies*** Basic knowledge of ultrasound principles, anatomy, and imaging protocols.* Strong patient-centered communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to follow established protocols and provider instructions accurately.* Attention to detail and commitment to quality and patient safety.* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.* Basic computer proficiency, including electronic health records and imaging systems.### **Travel Requirements*** Ability to float between imaging locations as operationally needed.**Salary Range**$35.00 - $43.10 per hourThe compensation range listed reflects the anticipated base pay for this position.
