Program Details Our Program The Summer program is a 10‑week program designed to provide Summer Analysts with a unique opportunity to gain exposure to life at Bank of America and make significant contributions to the team. It begins with an in‑person week‑long orientation and induction to the firm with networking opportunities. Summer Analysts are given a true associate experience; assignments mirror full‑time responsibility and include goal setting and a formal review process. During the 10 weeks, interns will have the opportunity for robust learning through trainings, professional development, networking events, volunteer activities, speaker series, and more. Interns strengthen key skills and competencies to help jump‑start their career and make a real impact on business from day one. Eligibility Considered candidates must be pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a graduation timeframe between November 2027 and August 2028. Degree type: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree. Eligible candidates should be in their penultimate year of school; Master’s candidates should have no more than 0 years of experience. Graduation dates: November 2027 – August 2028. Major or course of study: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar relevant degree. GPA: 3.5 minimum GPA preferred. Candidate Profile Fundamental knowledge of programming languages, data visualization tools, application frameworks, distributed systems, and databases. Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities. Strong influencing skills with the ability to influence both vertically and horizontally. Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic and a team attitude. Distinguished written and oral communication skills. High level of intellectual curiosity, drive for excellence, and commitment to sustainable results. Strong academic and technical skills in Microsoft Office and proficiencies in leadership, teamwork, problem solving, analytical skills, verbal and written communication, and professionalism. Cybersecurity Analyst Responsibilities Key tasks and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to Providing analytical, strategic, and technical skills to design, develop, implement, and use state‑of‑the‑art cybersecurity solutions aimed at reducing risk. Delivering innovative capabilities in a team environment, leveraging skills for a specific group within Bank of America. Responding to, researching, measuring, detecting, and mitigating security attacks that attempt to compromise network and application layers. Working on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires review of identifiable factors. Being responsible for global incident management and event management processes. Producing metrics to track remediation activities. Supporting aspects of Information Security, including development of strategy and policy; vulnerability identification and management; monitoring, detecting, and responding to incidents. Recommended Skillsets Coursework in Cybersecurity, Networking, Information Systems, and/or Programming. Knowledge of industry trends and current threat landscape. Demonstrated ability to analyze and correlate information from a wide variety of enterprise technologies. Interest in working in a global team of leading cybersecurity experts across multiple domains. Practical understanding of core cybersecurity principles. Clear motivation for exploring a cybersecurity career within financial services. Demonstrate capacity for innovative thinking and strong problem solving.
