Job Title Interventional Radiology Nurse Manager, Radiology RN’s Location Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, 94 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039 Job Overview The Unit Nurse Leader ensures that quality nursing care is delivered to all patients in accordance with hospital philosophy, policies, procedures, and program plans. Assists with development of patient care standards, orientation, and continuing education. Provides input into evaluation of staff performance and participates in nursing quality improvement. Assists with unit administration including scheduling, payroll, supplies, and equipment maintenance. Maintains and role models clinical skills necessary to provide care to patients. Ensures that Radiology Nursing is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations, and practices an understanding of principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age‑specific needs and provide age‑specific treatment and care. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited nursing school BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing Demonstrated clinical expertise in area standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Organizational ability and nurse management and leadership skills Completion of all orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Certifications and Licenses Required Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Scheduling Requirements Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week Day shift, Monday through Friday with on‑call coverage Five days per week Essential Functions Meet requirements as defined by the applicable Department Specific Equipment Competency Checklist Provide patient‑related care to hospital departments, patients, families, visitors, nursing personnel, and medical units Maintain positive relationships with all customers, employees, physicians, patients, visitors, and guests Utilize feedback to improve processes and services Use sound employee relations practices and maintain high levels of visibility and accessibility Follow through all customer requests and inquiries in a timely fashion Apply principles of continuous quality improvement (CQI) in all work situations Seek and incorporate feedback and recommendations to improve quality, processes, and services Contribute to improving service quality and productivity, taking initiative to evaluate work, report problems, suggest solutions, and try new ideas Other Duties This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
