Lead Application Security Engineer
Virtual Vocations Inc
To enhance security capabilities, the full-time Lead Application Security Engineer will manage the technical direction and implementation of security practices, focusing on API security while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Drive the adoption of security strategies and best practices within the R&D organization Own the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of application security capabilities, including SAST, SCA, and DAST Lead the API security testing program and manage operational readiness, findings routing, and issue resolution Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience 3-5 years of experience in a security-focused development role within an agile environment Strong software engineering background with proficiency in code development and troubleshooting Practical experience with Docker, Terraform, and cloud platforms Knowledge of security protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and RESTful services
