Quality Inspector / Quality Assurance Inspector

Location: New Port Richey, FL

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

• Experience using calipers, micrometers, height gages, comparator oscilloscopes, and other precision measuring instruments
• Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 standards
• Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Perform first piece, receiving, in-process, and source inspections as required.
• Operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gages, comparator oscilloscopes, and other measuring devices.
• Inspect purchased and manufactured parts, subassemblies, final assemblies, and perform first article inspections.
• Document inspection findings and generate corrective action reports when required.
• Complete First Article Inspections (FAIRs) and prepare FAIR reports.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while following established procedures.
• Communicate quality concerns, ideas, and findings to management.
• Perform Kamishibai audits daily.
• Follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Complete all required paperwork including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers, and production data.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Work overtime as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of Quality Inspection/Quality Assurance experience in a high-mix, complex manufacturing environment.
• Experience with:
• • AS9100
  • ISO9001
  • FAA regulations
  • Repair Station requirements
  • PRMRB (Preliminary Review and Material Review Boards)
  • Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with complex products.
• Familiarity with Discus First Article Software and Net-Inspect .
• Experience using SAP or other ERP systems.
• Experience with Mauser, Zeiss, Mitutoyo, Brown & Sharpe CMMs .
• Ability to interpret complex electrical and mechanical drawings, including GD&T .
• Proficient with:

• Experience performing:

  • Data Entry
• Ability to travel domestically up to 10% for customer visits and training.
• Ability to write CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions) .
• Ability to create DIR/DIPs using appropriate AQLs based on customer flow-down requirements.
• Must be flexible to work overtime and adjusted schedules as required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent bending, lifting, sitting, standing, and twisting for extended periods.
• Must successfully pass:
• • Ishihara Color Vision Test
  • Jaeger Level 1 Vision Examination
• Minimum vision requirement: 20/25 (corrected or uncorrected) .
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs daily .
• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
• Ability to work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals as required.
• Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
