We value your dedication and offer comprehensive benefits to support your success.Job Summary:The Financial Accountant will assist with month end closing, financial analysis, financial reporting, account reconciliation, journal entry creation, and assistance with budgets. You will analyze trends, costs, and revenues, and handle multiple tasks with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with month end closing, financial analysis, financial reporting, account reconciliation, journal entry creation, and assistance with budgets.Work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.Possess a strong energetic work ethic, attention to detail, and keen analytical skills.Experience in month end closing, financial analysis, financial reporting, account reconciliation, consolidation, and eliminations, and preparation and tracking of departmental and property-wide budgeting process is beneficial.Required Skills and Abilities:A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred. At least one year of experience in public and/or corporate accounting is preferred. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from guests and other employees of the Company in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers and decimals. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to become familiar with a variety of departments' concepts, practices, and procedures. Ability to perform with a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Microsoft Office experience required. Will utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. JD Edwards experience is preferred.Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:Work environment is moderate with potential exposure to smoke if on the casino floor. Candidate must be able to sit, walk for extended periods of time, use computers and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, and lift up to 15 lbs.
