Position Overview The full-time Colorectal Surgery APP will provide comprehensive clinical support for patients with colorectal disorders, working collaboratively with surgeons and interdisciplinary teams in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This role includes patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, postoperative management, care coordination, patient education, and follow-up care. The APP will serve as an important clinical resource for patients and families throughout the surgical care journey while contributing to quality outcomes and an exceptional patient experience. Qualifications Purpose & Scope: A Nurse Practitioner (NP) employed by VHC Health Physicians (“Physician Group”) is required to complete a NP Agreement with their Collaborating Physician(s). This NP Agreement will describe the NP’s role and function, NP/Physician Relationship, Functions of the NP, Privileges/Procedures, Prescriptive Authority, Documentation Responsibilities and Evaluation process. Overall, the NP will support objectives, budget, performance metrics and medical activities at an Individual level including implementation of quality control standards, risk management and compliance programs.
