This position’s primary responsibilities are to:Manage the development of capital and operating fiscal budgets across the Hospital Operations DivisionProvide budgetary oversight and guidance to achieve financial operating targets and align forecasts with annual objectivesCompile and report key financial data to various stakeholders (i.e. monthly and quarterly budget reconciliation reports, variance and exception analytics, capitalization information, initiative cash flow commitments and projections) for the Hospital Operations Division. Oversees Headquarters Building Operations Department and serves as a primary resource to other Shriners Children’s Departments and Shriners InternationalParticipate as an integral component enterprise-wide RFI/RFP procurement processesIdentify and spearhead initiatives which deliver incremental and sustainable cost savings opportunities across the systemOperate as project manager for key activities and projects which directly align with the strategic short- and long-term goals set forth by LeadershipRepresent Hospital Operations Division in working with functional departments including Finance and Accounting, Business and Planning Development, Medical Affairs, Research, etc. with a specific focus on budgetary, strategic planning and systems/process improvement purposesConsult with various Departments in the Division on planned initiatives, budget forecasting, planned work, standardization efforts, procurement, contracting and formulating vendor programs.Functional Departments of Hospital Operations Division are:Hospital AdministrationBuilding OperationsFacilities ManagementHealth Information ManagementInformation ServicesCorporate Orthotics and ProstheticsSupply Chain ManagementTelehealthThis position assists and collaborates with the Vice President of Hospital Operations on executive-level presentations, corporate communications, key activity project management oversight, developing key metrics to track the progress of the operational pillar of the strategic plan and other initiatives as they pertain to operations.This position is a 100% onsite position based at our Corporate Headquarters in Tampa, Florida.Key Responsibilities:Translates vision into strategies with clear objectives and practical action plans providing clear guidelines for meeting goals Demonstrates a long-term view of where the department is going and integrates this view with visionMakes decisions in a timely mannerEscalates issues appropriatelyVice President, Hospital Operations, supports the Hospital Operations and Buildings & Equipment Committees of the Joint Boards. The position coordinates with Vice President and division Executive Assistant with producing agendas, presentations, minutes and related materials for the Committees. Develops, analyzes and executes sound and sustainable processes for budgets and operational initiativesCollaborates with key stakeholders on business plan development and roll out strategiesRemains abreast of the healthcare industry and the potential future impacts to the functional areas that comprise Hospital OperationsProvides leadership and oversight for budget preparation, formulation, presentation, and executionDelivers key financial reporting information to various Department Heads and ManagersKnowledgeable of system Financial and Procurement policies and proceduresOversees operations of Headquarters Building Operations ensuring smooth operations and a comfortable working environment.Collaborates with system Risk Manager and Senior Corporate Director, Facilities and ConstructionRegularly conducts rounds of buildings, grounds, mechanical spaces, and fire prevention, security & safety systems ensuring property is well maintained and proper safety measures are followedRespond to issues raised by building occupants and LeadershipOversees the building disaster management program and serves as a primary emergency contactOversees building security systemProvides training to building occupants as appropriate for safety, security, fire prevention, and other programs as neededDevelops and updates Building Operations policies and proceduresSupervises Building Operations supervisor ensuring supervisor and team perform operations properlyServes as primary contact for janitorial, landscaping and maintenance contractsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a related field5-7 years of related work experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
