Office Requirement This is an office-based position and for the effective performance of this role, the duties and responsibilities must be carried out onsite. Job Summary Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time), the Personal/Universal Banker is responsible for delivering an exceptional client service experience while servicing clients with a full range of banking products and services. Responsible for executing and/or submitting various administrative and operational activities related to clients, banking products and services. Interacts with clients in person, via telephone and email, responding to inquiries and providing information as requested. Responsibilities Establish and/or submit requests for opening, maintaining and servicing client accounts, executing money movement, preparing and producing client materials and reports, resolving client inquiries, and maintaining complete and accurate recordkeeping. Provide maintenance and holistic advice on assigned relationships by cross selling and identifying client needs. Adhere to banking guidelines, procedures and policies involved with requested activities. Serve as a mentor to fellow Bankers and strive to evolve processes, procedures and operating environment of the Wealth Management team. Understand the business model and engage appropriate business unit experts to explore potential opportunities with the client. Execute and/or submit client account servicing activities within appropriate time frames, including processing of wires and fund transfers, opening and closing accounts, maintaining accurate records, imaging documents, and researching client issues. Proactively communicate with relationship management and operations teams to obtain necessary information. Handle paying and receiving activities, including cash transactions and daily balancing activities, fully understanding and adhering to Wealth Management Lobby Banking Operations policies and procedures. Assist with maintenance and servicing of Safe Deposit Boxes where available. Demonstrate expertise in setting up all types of client accounts and services; review documentation for completeness. Maintain strong understanding of policies and procedures and address the requirements of each activity in a timely fashion, escalating issues to management. Maintain knowledge of various business applications critical to client and account servicing, including online tools; seek to expand knowledge of latest technology enhancements. Keep informed of new products and services to respond to client questions and assist in selling services to expand overall client relationship. Monitor banking reports and assist with banking audits as directed by the Team Leader / Manager. Serve and mentor fellow Personal Bankers, offering guidance and direction as needed. Share expertise in the deposit area of the bank and train others as designated by the Team Leader/Manager. Be cross‑trained on the Northern Trust teller system. Qualifications 3‑5 years of related experience. Knowledge of banking operations, products and services. Knowledge of federal regulations and banking guidelines. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Ability to think critically and work well independently and as part of a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Salary and Benefits Salary Range: $55,800 - 89,400 USD Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
