Pharmacy Floor Technician (Night Shift)Location: 441 Commerce Rd, Vestal, NY 13850 (onsite) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4:30 PM-1:00 AM, plus every other weekend, 9:00 PM-5:30 AM. Mandatory overtime as needed. Pay: $20/hrRole Summary: Picks, labels, scans, and prepares finished prescriptions for final pharmacist verification, supporting accurate and timely fulfillment of daily drug orders under pharmacist supervision.Day to day responsibilities:Fills daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacistPulls and picks medications from shelving and other storage areas, including prepack racksApplies labels to blister cards and scans each product for accuracy checksAlerts the pharmacist on duty to any medication or product that is not scanning properlyPackages materials and products manuallyAssists in processing returned drugs and recycles or disposes of them per procedureAssists in prepacking frequently ordered medications, labeling and storing them during low-volume timesMaintains designated workstation areas and replenishes stock suppliesFollows all applicable government regulations, including HIPAAComplies with departmental policies on safety, attendance, and dress codeOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentAbility to work at a moderate speedAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishAbility to work the night shift schedule, including mandatory overtime, holidays, and weekends as neededA pharmacy technician license is not required in New York StatePreferred:Previous pharmacy technician experiencePhysical Demands: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently, and may sit or stand seven to ten hours per day. Extended hours may be necessary. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment is required. May need to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion. Requires visual acuity to read fine print, including close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus, and the ability to hear normal voice sounds.
