Brand Ambassador Position: Brand Ambassador Location: Los Angeles, CA Job Id: 715 # of Openings: 4 $17.90/hour Days/Hours: Limited summer & fall 2026 quarter appointment: 4‑10 hours a week beginning July 5 and ending October 31, 2026. On‑site work only. Scheduling varies based on event needs and shift availability. Availability: Must be available to work day 2 of all first‑year New Student Orientations (NSO). Up to 6 hours of activation time will be scheduled between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. for each of the following dates. July 9 July 14 July 23 July 29 Aug. 5 Aug. 11 Aug. 14 Aug. 20 Aug. 25 Sept. 4 Sept. 9 Sept. 11 Must be available up to 8 hours for UCLA Block Party (date & time TBD, most likely Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026). Must also be available for 4‑10 hours during fall 2026 Week 0‑2 (dates & time TBD). Roles & Responsibilities The ASUCLA brand ambassador serves as a representative of ASUCLA and its brands by engaging with UCLA students at tabling events and promotional activations. Brand ambassadors will help increase awareness of ASUCLA programs, products, services and resources while encouraging new students to follow @asucla and @uclastore Instagram channels. The role will primarily support ASUCLA Marketing’s tabling efforts during the 2026 NSO by promoting the @uclastore Instagram to incoming students at all 12 orientations, plus additional events such as the UCLA Block Party, Week 0‑2 activities and other campus events as assigned. Additional duties include setting up and breaking down tabling events, organizing, managing and distributing prizes, monitoring and recapping event success, answering questions about ASUCLA and UCLA Store programs, products, services and facilities, and appearing in ASUCLA social media and miscellaneous ASUCLA Marketing promotions. Key Responsibilities Represent ASUCLA and its brands in a professional, enthusiastic, student‑focused manner, reflecting the organization’s mission and values. Engage with UCLA students by promoting the @asucla and @uclastore Instagram brand channels with spin‑the‑wheel tabling activations. Set up, manage and break down tabling events. Answer questions regarding ASUCLA programs, products, services and facilities. Track participation metrics and provide event recaps following activations. Collaborate with fellow brand ambassadors, content creators and ASUCLA Marketing staff to drive table engagement. Requirements Be knowledgeable of ASUCLA and its four pillars, mission and vision. Have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Be highly organized and efficient in all aspects of work. Be reliable, punctual and professional. Must be comfortable being photographed, filmed and appearing on social media, including other ASUCLA Marketing promotions. Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time during events. Be able to lift, carry and transport materials up to 25 pounds. Enrolled as a student at UCLA. Interest in marketing, communications, public relations, events or brand promotion preferred. Eligibility for UCLA Extension Students Only those UCLA Extension Students that are concurrently enrolled at UCLA are eligible to apply.
