Production Scheduler

Job Description This position’s purpose is to forecast, percent of completion (POC), engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly, and ship schedule management. Utilize a variety of industry and proprietary software tools under the guidance of the master scheduler to effectively manage the production schedule. Develop and maintain master schedules. Control and monitor project schedules by effectively communicating across various engineering groups and departments. Update, track and report on progress and POC revenue. Complete, update and maintain detailed project schedules, including activities required for each task with durations/constraints. Provide weekly status reports to Department Managers, Group Directors and others as needed. Assist in facilitating interactive planning processes. Review and analyze activity durations and logic sequences; perform critical path analyses to identify potential problems and prompt proactive correction of situations. Review staffing/resource needs and implement process improvements based on input from project management and manufacturing. Conduct a full analysis of each project to highlight and identify specific scheduling problem areas. Act as a liaison between all departments to ensure all customer commitments are met. Attend required in‑house and outside training sessions. Perform other related duties as assigned with no direct supervision required. Minimum Qualifications BS/BA degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience. In lieu of BS/BA, a minimum of 7 years relevant progressive work experience is required. Minimum of 3 years project controls experience. Proficiency in Primavera Planner (P3) is required. Experience with Primavera P6, v5.0 or v6.0 or v8.2 is required. Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects and Oracle; proven ability to learn new software programs. Able to manage multiple priorities with no direct supervision required. Learn policies and procedures, work instructions, ISO policies, safety rules and regulations, and vendor products.
