Our commitment extends beyond business success as we strive to build sustainable processes that minimize environmental impact and foster vibrant and diverse communities around the globe.Facilities/Maintenance Technicians operate and maintain facilities equipment including, but not limited to, building controls, fire protection systems and heating-ventilation-and air conditioning (HVAC), they are responsible for maintenance, operation and troubleshooting of utilities equipment, maintains physical structure of establishment and general electrical systems on an industrial facility. Utilities equipment includes Chillers, Boilers, Air Handling Units, Exhaust ventilation, Dehumidifiers, Cooling Towers, Compressed Air Systems, Reheat, Fire Prevention, Emergency Power Generators, UPS and Environmental Control systems. Document all maintenance activities executed on the site computer maintenance management system (CMMS). The Facilities/Maintenance technicians perform, as needed, maintenance service and repairs in areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting and other building upkeep activities. Plans, coordinates, inspects, and performs maintenance and supports project management for facility related projects, including but not limited to, building remodeling and construction, equipment installation and/or placement, safety and environmental compliance, mechanical systems maintenance, and energy management programs.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsures facility maintenance and controlled environmental monitoring activities are complete and on scheduleParticipates in facilities equipment installations as requiredPerforms minor building and building system equipment repairsEnsures building systems contractors follow EES requirements when on the premisesMaintains spare parts inventoryFollows all company safety policies and other safety precautions within the work areaCompliance with safety policies and proceduresEnsures compliance with Environmental Management System (EMS) responsibilitiesFollow Jabil Records Management Policies for Convenience Information, Records Retention Schedules, Training and Education, Document Hold Notices, Records Cleanout, active Records and Information Management, Vital Records and third-party vendor if applicable.Other responsibilities may be assigned and not all responsibilities listed may be assigned.Coordinate with third-party for predictive maintenance on (by means of reliability tools) and repair chillers, cooling towers, dehumidifiers, air handling units, air compressors, emergency power generators, uninterrupted power systems, fire prevention systems, water treatment systems and environmental control systems among other utility equipment.Propose improvements to maintenance strategies, based on reliability studies / condition-based maintenance practices.Supports Facility Team in performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMCEA) and continuous improvement activities as part of the site maintenance programManage and coordinate plant initiatives with outside vendors and electrical/mechanical repair shops.Organize and implement facilities projects.Demonstrate leadership ability to effectively work with team members and facilitate completion of high-level projects.Demonstrate ability to present project status updates to members of management.Ability to plan and schedule all maintenance work for a minimum of a 2-week period at a team or personal level as required by direct management.Management & Supervisory ResponsibilitiesJob is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).Report to Facilities Manager.Job Qualifications and Knowledge RequirementsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, standard operating procedures, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.Ability to write reports with mathematical emphasis.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees at all levels.Ability read, write, and speak native language is a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills.Problem solving.Basic math skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Capable to draw and interpret statistical bar and line graphs.Proficient in the use of all general shop tools and power tools.Must be able to function in team environment and as independent contributorPreferably CAD experience or knowledgeAbility to stand for 2 hours, lift up to 40lbs, squat/kneel/bend, work in tight spaces, and climb on platforms and mezzanines throughout the workday.Education & Experience RequirementsTechnical Education DiplomaHigh School Diploma preferredGenerally requires (6 and above) years related experience PreferredWhat Can Jabil Offer You?Along with growth, stability, and the opportunity to be challenged, Jabil offers a competitive benefits package that includes:Medical, Dental, Prescription Drug, and Vision Insurance with HRA and HSA options401K MatchEmployee Stock Purchase PlanPaid Time OffTuition ReimbursementLife, AD&D, and Disability InsuranceCommuter BenefitsEmployee Assistance ProgramPet InsuranceAdoption AssistanceAnnual Merit IncreasesCommunity Volunteer OpportunitiesThis position is not eligible for immigration and/or visa sponsorship.
