Benefits Medical / Health Benefits with multiple plan options, Flexible Spending Accounts, Dental and Vision 401k with company matching contributions at 100% of the first 5% of pay and a 3% annual contribution On the job training / cross-training Life Insurance, disability insurance, voluntary life insurance for family members available, accident and critical illness insurance optional Scheduled performance reviews Referral program Career development and tuition reimbursement Paid parental leave, short and long-term disability programs, adoption assistance, a Care.com membership and financial planning assistance at no cost Identity protection, legal protection, pet wellness supplemental benefit programs available at competitive rates Paid Time Off and 13 Company-Paid Holidays Competitive coverage for prescription drugs, hospital indemnity insurance and critical illness insurance with competitive premium cost Responsibilities Perform repetitive machine operations such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, reaming and smoothing parts Make minor adjustments and report improper machine functioning or cutting action to the team for correction and improvement Align and fasten parts using standard fixtures where established methods are followed Set feeds, speeds and depth of cut to produce quality parts Perform operations such as reaming, tapping, spot-facing, chamfering, countersinking, and counterboring Visually inspect parts for burrs and damaged machine surfaces Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks, cracks or other irregularities from machined parts Inspect parts for conformance to specifications by visual examination and the use of gages or other measuring instruments Accurately and regularly perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) requirements Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition Perform other duties and tasks as assigned Qualifications HS diploma or equivalent Minimum 1-3 years general or related machine shop experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities Demonstrated manual dexterity Ability to read and understand work instructions or blueprints Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics Effective English verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player Equal Employment Opportunity Belcan is an equal opportunity employer.
