Job Summary
The Medical Director, Long Term Services & Supports is primarily responsible for providing clinical oversight and strategic guidance for the Tennessee Long-Term Services and Supports population. This role plays a key part in ensuring appropriate delivery of home and community-based services while advancing integrated, high quality care across clinical, behavioral health, and care management teams. Pay : $108 - 128 an hour based on experience (overtime will be paid at 1.5 times the normal hourly pay rate).

Hours: Full Time - Monday-Friday Normal Business Hours (Ex. 8am-5pm, 7:30-4pm etc.) Why this Opportunity?

Effective Date / Tentative Start Date: Interviewing Immediately Job Duties:

• Review and make determinations on requests for home and community-based services, partnering with clinical and nursing teams to ensure complete and accurate documentation
• Serve as the plan's clinical representative during member appeals and hearing proceedings
• Oversee utilization management activities by evaluating care management and health services outcomes to support performance targets
• Collaborate across medical, behavioral health, and clinical operations teams to advance an integrated care model
• Contribute to clinical quality initiatives, including peer review and continuous improvement efforts
• Act as a clinical leader and advisor, supporting health plan objectives and maintaining effective communication with network providers
• Assist with development and execution of clinical policies, procedures, and quality or performance improvement projects as needed

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted physician license
• Board certified in an ABMS or AOBMS-recognized specialty
• 5+ years of clinical practice experience, with strong knowledge of Medicaid managed care and Long-Term Services and Supports
• 2-3 years of experience in quality management or clinical quality improvement
• Proven clinical leadership experience in a matrixed environment
• Strong communication and presentation skills for both clinical and non-clinical audiences
• Ability to build effective relationships with providers and community partners
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Highly Preferred

• Large corporation experience
• Health plan / managed care / healthcare industry experience
