Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough client assessments to identify the severity, frequency, and nature of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized tools and interviews to establish a baseline for treatment.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

  • Facilitate regular therapy sessions focused on mood disorder interventions, while providing clients with valuable coping strategies and emotional support as they navigate their treatment journeys.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of client interactions and treatment progress in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations.

  • Engage in continuous education by participating in professional development workshops and staying abreast of the latest research in mood disorders and therapeutic methodologies.

  • Collaborate with a network of health professionals to discuss case progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed to maximize client outcomes.

Qualifications\n

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the State of California.

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience in mental health counseling, with a focus on working with clients experiencing mood disorders and related mental health challenges.

  • A deep understanding of California laws and professional ethics pertaining to mental health practice.
  • \n
  • Successful completion of a background check through the FBI and DOJ, as well as a current Tuberculosis (TB) test within the last six months.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Experience with addiction counseling or skills in managing behavioral problems and emotional disorders.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices and tools utilized in mental health diagnosis and intervention.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Heartlight Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
