Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C), you will:
- Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, identifying their strengths and challenges.
- Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions, customizing your approach to align with clients' unique backgrounds and needs.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, or Family Systems Therapy to drive effective treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans that cater to the holistic needs of clients.
- Engage in crisis intervention services, conducting risk assessments and establishing safety plans for at-risk individuals.
- Advocate for clients' rights and connect them with critical community resources while providing essential case management support.
- Participate actively in community outreach initiatives to enhance mental health awareness and reduce stigma associated with seeking help.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This position focuses on serving diverse populations in Baltimore, many of whom face societal barriers to mental health care. As a clinical social worker, you will engage with clients from various socioeconomic backgrounds, each presenting unique experiences and challenges. Qualifications
To thrive in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
- Active state licensure as a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C).
- Demonstrated understanding of mental health issues and intervention strategies.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience in a community mental health setting is preferred. Candidates who demonstrate strong knowledge of cultural competence, along with excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills, will be particularly successful in this role.
