Job Description
As a Security Officer Experienced Patrol Driver in Oakland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a critical utilities location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, document observations using technology, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a utility location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, following visitor management procedures, and reporting unauthorized access attempts in accordance with site policies.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
