Barton Staffing Solutions is hiring Industrial Sewing Machine Operators for a manufacturing facility in Romeoville, IL .

If you have experience operating industrial sewing machines and enjoy hands-on production work, this is a great opportunity to join a growing team with long-term potential.

Position: Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

Pay Rate: $20.50

Shift: 2nd Shift

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM

Status: Full-Time

Location: Romeoville, IL

Overtime: Required as needed

Job Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines and CNC cutting equipment to manufacture parts according to specifications.
• Use an RF scanner and basic ERP systems to track materials, inventory, and finished products.
• Create and apply labels accurately.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Report defects or production issues to the Production Lead or Quality Department.
• Move raw materials and finished goods between worktables, conveyors, and machines.
• Clean, label, and package finished products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
• Assist with training new and existing team members on production processes and best practices.
• Complete required production paperwork accurately.
• Follow all machine safety procedures, company policies, and emergency protocols.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance as required.

• Previous experience operating an industrial sewing machine is preferred.
• Ability to use an RF scanner and navigate basic computer/ERP systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work a full-time schedule.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Ability to perform additional duties as assigned
• Ability to work an 8-hour shift standing .
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
• Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Ability to hear and observe machine operations for safety and quality purposes.
• Ability to wear all required PPE, including safety glasses.
