Senior Software Engineer

Our client, a global, Boston-based Asset Management firm with more than 150bn AUM, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the firm’s Core Investment Systems team. This team is responsible for developing technology solutions supporting investment services and operations. They leverage technology to automate business processes introducing solutions using a combination of custom development and packaged platforms. The Core Investment Systems team provides services and capabilities to business users that are essential to the firm’s ability to deliver sustained alpha and meet fiduciary commitment to clients. The ideal candidate is a self-driven, team-oriented hands-on engineer who enjoys working on complex problems as part of a team. This role is responsible for designing and implementing software solutions which take complex investment processes and bring them to life. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Engage with business and technology leaders to understand strategy, articulate solution options and evaluate tradeoffs Lead adoption of cloud-native technology designs and solutions Deliver high-quality value-added enhancements to existing platforms Automate the software development, testing and deployment process Participate as an engaged member of an agile development team Collaborate with other groups including developers, DBAs, network engineers, quality assurance and third-party vendors / consultants Create and maintain documentation that is thorough, complete, and of a professional caliber Support production escalations with urgency Degree in Computer Science or related field Hands-on coding experience with Python and/or C# .Net Core Strong, creative problem-solving abilities Strong background in modern technology including design, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming, and an understanding and adherence to standard design principles Experience with unit testing, isolation frameworks, and behavior/domain driven development Technology stack development experience in: AWS Services, S3, Lambda, ALB, Cloudwatch, SNS Web development using Angular, React, or similar modern UI framework Nice to have: Experience with Infrastructure related services such as Linux and/or Windows Experience with Infra as Code framework such as Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation Experience with CI/CD pipelines, with GitLab preferred Experience with LLM (Llama), RAG implementation #J-18808-Ljbffr
