Diesel Road Mechanic
Jamaica, NY (JFK Airport) Travel throughout NYC using company vehicle
$30$36/hr
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM10:30 PM (weekends as needed)
6-Month Contract-to-Hire | Union benefits upon permanent hire
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain trucks and buses
- Perform inspections, oil changes, and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Complete service documentation and follow safety procedures
Requirements
- 4+ years of diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment mechanic experience
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience with engines, cooling systems, and vehicle electrical systems
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to obtain airport SIDA badge
- Comfortable traveling throughout the 5 boroughs
Preferred
- Cummins engine experience
- CDL or willingness to obtain one

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jamaica, NY.
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
