Job Location: Memphis, TN Job Type: Full Time Shift(s) Available: Rotating (1st shift Saturday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM; 4 days off / 2nd shift Wednesday-Tuesday 3:00 PM -11:00 PM; 1 day off / 3rd shift Thursday-Wednesday 11:00 PM - 7:00 PM; 2 days off) Compensation: $25.09/hr Shift Differential: 2nd Shift $0.37/hr and 3rd Shift $0.45/hr Job Overview Join Cargill as an Operations Technician and help keep our production processes running safely, efficiently, and reliably. In this hands‑on role, you’ll operate and support chemical, mechanical, and thermal processes, troubleshoot equipment issues, and contribute to continuous improvement across multiple areas of the facility. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, learning complex systems, and making a direct impact on product quality and plant performance. What You Will Do Operate equipment and chemical, mechanical, or thermal processes across assigned production areas, including rotation or backfill support Monitor and adjust production processes using computer systems to meet quality and specification requirements Perform preventative and autonomous maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues using hand, power, and basic electrical tools Record production data, manage inventory, and load or unload materials using mobile equipment Work with peers and management to support continuous improvement and follow standard operating procedures Follow all safety and regulatory policies while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and coordinating with connected process areas Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or variable shifts with advance notice Perform other duties as assigned What You Will Need Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship Must be 18 years or older Ability to understand and communicate in English, verbal and written Able to work indoors and outdoors, including at heights of 4 feet or more, and capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, bending, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation and while using appropriate PPE Able to work rotating shifts Basic computer skills and willingness to learn digital tools and equipment controls What Will Put You Ahead Experience working in a production, chemical, or manufacturing environment Experience operating industrial or mobile equipment (e.g., forklifts, loaders) Familiarity with maintenance practices or troubleshooting mechanical/electrical systems Experience using computerized production, quality, or inventory systems Benefits Benefits Are Based on Our Collective Bargaining Agreement Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Insurance Paid Vacation and Holidays 401(k) with Cargill Matching Contributions Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Development Opportunities About Cargill Cargill is a family company committed to providing food and agricultural solutions to nourish the world in a safe, responsible, and sustainable way.
