Job Summary: Dialysis Nurse (Dialysis Unit) Des Moines, Iowa
Dialysis Nurse position in a critical care and telemetry setting providing hemodialysis and, as applicable, peritoneal dialysis support. Responsibilities include clinical care for dialysis patients, supporting treatment delivery, and participating in call rotation coverage. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Call rotation schedule with MonFri, 7:00 PM10:00 PM, Saturday 7:00 PM7:00 AM, and Sunday either 7:00 AM7:00 PM or 7:00 PM6:00 AM; minimum 36 hours per week; 12-hour shift hours.
• Required Qualifications: Active Iowa license or multistate/compact eligibility; Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA); documented 24 months of current dialysis experience including inpatient experience; acute dialysis experience; experience using Fresenius machines; hemodialysis experience; peritoneal dialysis experience (preferred); tele reads measurement experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Acute dialysis experience; peritoneal dialysis experience; prior experience as a dialysis nurse.
• Additional Information:
  • Traveler may be required to float across campuses.
  • Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day) may require working 12 of the upcoming holidays unless the unit is closed.
  • Documentation at submission should include: a work history/resume/employment history reflecting the 24 months of current dialysis experience; a dialysis-discipline-specific Skills Checklist; a professional reference/reference check (charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO performance evaluation or reference) from within 24 months of the submission date; and a drivers license.
