Truck Driver

The City of Nashua is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Division of Public Works in the Streets Department. Take your career to the next level with us as opportunities for growth and development await!

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position operates all types of trucks with transportation of gravel, asphalt, and supplies. Position performs snow removal and mounts/dismounts plows and wings from truck. The individual will also perform a variety of manual tasks, as a laborer, in connection with operations and assists in loading and unloading material and equipment transported by truck and operates small machinery. Performs other related duties as assigned.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 6:45 am to 2:45 pm, is part of the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Unit, and provides an excellent work life balance. The position is grade 3, with a starting hourly rate not to exceed $27.21.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or certified equivalent with a minimum of six months relevant work experience is required. Must possess valid CDL-B driver's license with good driving record. Must have good knowledge of traffic rules and regulations.
