Charleston Southern University has a vacancy for a full-time Maintenance Technician Level 1.Work PerformedAs a Maintenance Technician Level 1, you will play an essential role in supporting the maintenance and upkeep of our campus facilities to ensure a safe and functional environment for our community. Reporting to the Director of Facility Services or a designated supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting with a variety of maintenance tasks and providing support to more experienced technicians. Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:Assisting with routine maintenance tasks, such as inspections, cleaning, and lubrication of equipment and machinery.Performing minor repairs and adjustments to building systems, fixtures, and equipment under the guidance of more experienced technicians.Assisting with the installation and setup of new equipment, fixtures, and furnishings as needed.Conducting basic troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to identify and report issues to supervisors.Participating in training programs and on-the-job learning opportunities to develop technical skills and knowledge of maintenance practices.Following safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.Maintaining cleanliness and organization in work areas and storage areas for tools and equipment.Assisting with maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory levels.Collaborating with team members and other departments to support maintenance projects and campus operations.Other duties as assigned.Joining our team as a Maintenance Technician Level 1 offers you the opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to the maintenance of our campus facilities.
