To be successful in this role, the individual must be familiar with hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs. Plumbing, welding, and electrical experience also preferred. Responsibilities may include parts inventory and use of software to record PMs and other maintenance activities.Job ResponsibilitiesSupport manufacturing equipment needs, including the rebuilding and fabricating of partsCarry out electric and/or mechanical repairs to ensure equipment runs reliablyComplete scheduled inspections and required maintenance on all machinesSupport building utilities such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, masonryAssist with installation of capital equipment and electrical wiring systemsParticipate in various lean manufacturing activities to improve products, reduce waste, or learn new skills or operationsConsistently maintain company safety, quality, and cleanliness standardsOther duties as assigned.QualificationsJob QualificationsHS Diploma or equivalentExperience in the building, repair, and maintenance of high speed packaging equipment and conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, gears, fans, and compressorsAbility to read and comprehend installation instructions, operating manuals, preventative maintenance requirements, and troubleshooting guidelinesAbility to read and interpret blueprints, electrical and mechanical schematics and programmable logic controlsEffectively communicates with internal and external parties, including site vendorsDisplays a high attention to detail and the ability to navigate competing priorities in a fast paced environmentContributes to a positive, sanitary, and safety oriented work environmentAbility to work a set shift, and adjust working hours in response to business needsAdheres to Standard Operating Procedures and GMP practices and guidelinesFamiliarity with FDA/GMP requirements for change control and preventive maintenance a plusPhysical requirements may include frequent or prolonged standing, reaching, bending or twisting, as well as the repeated lifting, pushing, or pulling of materialsExperience with Microsoft Office applications
