Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse position is located in an organization that provides individualized nursing care based on the fundamentals of peri-anesthesia nursing and pharmacology. The role involves caring for geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge, with a focus on airway management, nursing assessment, and medication administration. The position requires proficiency in peri-anesthesia standards of care and relevant certifications. Job Details: Schedule: 4 x 10-hour days, 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM start times, minimum of 40 hours per week Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), a minimum of 2 years PACU RN experience, preferably in a high acute care hospital, ICU experience required, extensive cardiac/cath lab experience preferred Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma Level II settings, infectious disease management, and advanced airway procedures Float: Float to other campuses may be required if needed and census permits Additional Information: The assignment involves working with interdisciplinary teams including interpretation services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Daily census ranges from 40-50 patients with approximately 32 patient rooms. Candidates must complete onboarding labs within 3-5 days of contract signing and provide 7-year work history verification. All compliance documents are due 10 days prior to the start date.
