Occupational Therapist Acute Care

Location: Salem Hospital 890 Oak Street SE Salem Oregon 97301
Department: Acute Rehabilitation
Position Type: Full Time 36 hours/week Exempt
Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:30 pmfour 9-hour shiftswith rotating weekends within a four-week rotation.

Your role with us

As an occupational therapist in our Acute Rehabilitation team at Salem Health you will be evaluating and treating patients in a wide variety of specialty areas such as neuro-trauma orthopedics neurology medical/surgical intensive care and so much more. Be part of our Centers of Excellence delivering high-quality evidence-based care to patients undergoing joint replacement surgery spine surgery and stroke recovery.

What youll do

• Conduct evidence-based evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists speech therapists and care managers.
• Deliver exceptional patient and family-centered care with a strong emphasis on communication and customer service.
• Communicate professionally and effectively within the team and across departments.

Required qualifications

• Holds a valid occupational therapy license to practice in the state of Oregon or is license eligible.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.

Additional information

• Successful candidates will have clinical experience in the Acute practice setting.
